Dell Inspiron 1545 notebook review - Dell has unveiled therefore more or less voluntarily a new laptop via its website, the Inspiron 1545, which should carry a screen 15.6 “, up to 4GB of RAM and Vista or Ubuntu, as desired.
Side configuration, the Inspiron 1545 embarking Intel Celeron or Intel Core 2 Duo based versions, up to 4 GB of DDR2, a 16:9 screen 15.6-inch WXGA (with the possibility to opt for a slab LED) , An integrated graphics chipset Intel X4500 HD up to 384 MB shared memory, a DVD recorder or a combo Blu-Ray / DVD, a card reader 8 in 1, a webcam optional 1.3 MP, a chip WiFi 802.11 b / g (n optional), Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR and VGA ports, ExpressCard 34, Ethernet, modem RJ-11 (optional) and USB (x3).
The Inspiron 1545 is available with Windows Vista or Ubuntu 8.04.
For the moment, no information about the likely timing of marketing has been unveiled. The Inspiron 1525 is marketed from 429 €, the Inspiron 1545 should offer rates close.

There is no Webcam.
Hi, I just got my niece’s cam working. under programs there are two options. there are two that say dell webcam…click the second on, let it come up and then cancel. It is a messaging program. then go back to programs and click the first dell webcam listing and that is when the cam came up and it is a very good cam. so clear. hope that helps.

there is icon called webcam when u open my computer in the bottom…just click that..it willl open
How do you turn on the bluetooth?
sorry my prev mes…is wrong….those who r not able to open webcam…..upload the drivers for the webcam from the cd which u get while purchasing the oc/laptop……or u can download from the web….eg.,for dell laptops…go to dell.com and click drivers and downloads which is at the end of the page…..here select the operating system and download the creative lab driver from i/o devices……remember each operating system has its specific drivers……so before installing the driver check it supports the operating system
and to turn on the bluetooth…..u must first install the drivers…if drivers are installed ….if it is dell laptop press fn key and press f2 oe just press f3
just recently bought a Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop… so now if in case later i want to change the processor to a higher processor like a P7500 Intel core 2 Duo.. can i do that?
i want to uprage to P7500 Intel COre 2 Duo 1066 Mhz with 3 MB Cache
so will that be possible with the same motherboard? Need help……
