Dell circumscribe course restrictions imposed by Microsoft to deliver Windows XP. The relaxation granted by Microsoft in terms of storage for Windows XP does not benefit this machine since Dell has chosen to equip a 16GB SSD

In terms of connectivity, this computer is equipped with Wi-Fi 802.11g and Bluetooth 2.0, in addition to perennial RJ45 connector. On the connections we find 3-port USB 2.0, VGA video connector, a line output and microphone input, a card reader SD / SDHC. However, no trace of a 3G modem as had been announced.

Supplied with a 4-cell battery giving it autonomy not given, this Dell Mini Inspiron 9 weighs 1035 kilograms. It is available today in Windows XP Home Edition at a price of 370 euros (30 euros plus shipping). The Ubuntu Linux version 8.04 is expected to be available in October at a price slightly lower. Finally, Dell provides a delivery time of a fortnight.
